We optimize your processes.

We develop sustainable and innovative solutions that translate the latest advancements in science and technology into industrial practices. Inspect pro control, based on near/infrared cameras, realizes measurable cost-saving potentials in your thermal processes such as cement, zinc, special waste, etc. A test measurement provides initial optimization approaches. Data engineering using AI methods offers further optimization potential.

Green Technology
We support you in the transformation towards decarbonizing your industrial processes. Whether it is hydrogen or other renewable energy sources, we offer R&D services to adapt your thermal processes.

Testimonials

Dr. Sina Keller
Research Director
ci-tec GmbH
Karlsruhe

In our R&D projects, we cooperate with research institutions, such as Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. With our innovative developments, we succeed in achieving considerable optimization potentials for our customers. By means of infrared image processing and evaluation, we calculate novel characteristics which are then used to optimize control of zinc recycling processes.

Dr. Roland Melerski
Process Manager
OPTERRA Wössingen GmbH
Walzbachtal

For us, ci-tec is a reliable and respected industry partner. We are highly impressed by the way they accept our specific requirements and our feedback and incorporate both in “inspect pro control C.” In this way, sustainable innovations result, by means of which we can make our processes more efficient.

Dr. Hubert B. Keller
CEO ci-tec GmbH, Karlsruhe
Expert for industrial processes, AI & secure software
Former Head of Advanced Automation Technologies at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)

As a former head of department at KIT, the industrial implementation of R&D work is very important to me. ci-tec has always been an efficient partner for the transfer of research results and technologies into the industrial context. Reliable innovations form the basis for a sustainable and economically secure industrial future. Based on artificial intelligence (AI) methods, process control can be improved, product quality increased and the service life of systems extended. Our focus is not only on the individual development of AI processes for our customers, but above all on reliable implementation for 24/7 plant operation.

Hazardous Waste Incineration
BASF SE
Ludwigshafen

Sidestreams out of production processes of the BASF which can not be avoided or used anymore, are incinerated at the hazardous waste incineration plant of BASF. In order to achieve maximum efficiency in this process, the camera-based solutions from ci-tec are used. The inspect system provides a good basis for the implementation of control technology in the process and ci-tec is a valuable partner for further optimization.

Dr. André Dittrich
Geschäftsführung und Leiter Industrie
ci-tec GmbH
Karlsruhe

In close cooperation with our ambitious customers from industry, we create reliable, customized solutions for the optimization of thermal processes. Our goal is to achieve the best possible efficiency of our products in practical use. For this reason, we accompany our customers in the long term and constantly advance our products based on their feedback.

Honoured as winner of the ALLIANZ Industrie 4.0 Baden-Württemberg award
Machine learning for data-based models for free-lime forecasting

The use of fossil fuels and rising energy costs are increasingly demanding the use of alternative fuels. With the help of inspect pro control C, the behaviour of these fuels can be recorded online, evaluated using parameters and optimised in terms of control techniques. It is also vital to optimise the use of energy and ensure product quality based on the free-lime values. Until now, these values for the current process have only been available subsequently via laboratory analyses. Machine learning (ML) methods make it possible to estimate the free-lime value based on infrared temperature measurements and process data as input in real time. This innovative approach optimises the use of fuel, thereby significantly reducing energy costs while ensuring consistently high product quality.
